You can create an internal poll only in the DRep community you’ve delegated to, and it must be activated. If you're a DRep, activate your community first (see 'Activate Your DRep Community'). If you're a delegator, ask your DRep to activate it.
Make sure you have installed wallet extensions that support governance, such as Eternl, Yoroi, Lace, Vespr...
Click on the 'Connect Wallet' button, select your wallet, and confirm the connection.
Step 2: Scroll down, and depending on your role, you’ll see either the ‘Your Community’ section (if you’re a DRep) or the ‘DRep’s Community’ section (if you’re a Delegator). Locate the ‘Create an internal poll’ button and click on it.
Input the required fields such as Title, Abstract, Voting Type, and Voting Period.
In the "Voting type" section: Select the desired internal poll type
Basic voting: Response options are pre-set to Yes/No/Abstain.
Single choice and Multiple choice: You need to input the suggested answers.
In the "Voting period" section: Choose the desired start date and end date for your poll. Please be aware that available dates will be highlighted in a brighter white. Once you have chosen the dates, click the "OK" button to save your selections.
Every delegator has voting power to vote in an internal poll, calculated at the start of the epoch when the voting period begins.
Upon completion of all required fields, the "Publish" and "Publish and share" buttons will become active:
Publish: Create the internal poll.
Publish and share: Create the internal poll and share it on X to notify delegators and boost engagement.
A notification window will pop up to confirm the creation of the poll. Please click "OK" if everything is proceeding as expected.
Another notification will appear confirming that you have successfully created the poll.
Even if you pick "Publish" rather than "Publish and share" you can still share it later by clicking the "Share" button for that poll.
When sharing on X, you can customize the content or post it as is.
You have successfully created an internal poll, and the next important thing to do is to ensure it has impact. Share it actively and engage with your delegators regularly.
