Vote on an internal poll

Vote on an internal poll

Please be aware that you are only able to vote on an internal poll if:

  • You are a delegator of that DRep, or you are voting on your own poll.

  • The poll is within its active period voting.

Step 1: Visit https://tempo.vote and connect your wallet

  • Make sure you have installed wallet extensions that support governance, such as Eternl, Yoroi, Lace, Vespr...

  • Click on the 'Connect Wallet' button, select your wallet, and confirm the connection.

Scroll down to your community section. This is where all internal polls created by your DRep are displayed, with various states:

  • Voting: The poll is live, and you are able to vote.

  • Pending: The poll has been created but voting has not started yet.

  • Closed: The poll has closed, and the voting period has ended.

  • In this section, you are able to see the details and cast your vote on polls that are in the "Voting" phase. To see more information, click the "show more" button. Once you have decided on your option, click the "Vote" button and wait for the system to confirm your vote. If it goes through successfully, a message saying "Vote on a internal poll successfully" will be displayed.

  • If you change your mind, you can still revote with the option you think is best, as long as the poll is in the "Voting" phase. Just like before, but this time you need to undo your previous vote by clicking "Retract Vote". If the system records the undo, a "Retract vote on a internal poll successfully" message will pop up. Then, you can vote again from scratch.

Important considerations about Voting Power:

  • Voting power is calculated at the start of the epoch when voting opens. Added tokens after that won't change your vote on this internal poll.

  • If any option gets a Quorum of over 51%, the DRep will clearly see what delegators want, helping them make better governance decisions.
